DESCRIPTION:The Tuberculosis (TB) Elimination Alliance (TEA) invites you to submit your application to the TB Learning Collaborative\, “Quality Improvement Strategies for Latent Tuberculosis Infection (LTBI) Screening\, Testing\, and Treatment in Asian/Asian American (A/AA) & Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (NH/PI)-Serving Health Centers: National Clinical Quality Measure Development” to gain in-depth knowledge and best practices on how to empower patients at health centers through strategies that effectively address LTBI/TB prevention and quality improvement approaches in their communities.  \nThe Learning Collaborative consists of four sessions on Thursdays in April from 9:00am-10:30am HT / 12:00-1:30pm PT/ 3:00-4:30pm ET.  \nSessions and Dates: \n\nApril 6\, 2023 | Session 1 – Background on TB Prevention | April 6\, 2023\nApril 13\, 2023 | Session 2 – Engaging and Supporting Patients with Latent TB Infection (Screening\, Testing and Treatment) \nApril 20\, 2023 | Session 3 – Providing Care for Patients with Latent TB Infection\nApril 27\, 2023 | Session 4 – Latent TB Infection Care Cascade (Measurement\, Barriers and Interventions)\n\nLearning Objectives: \nUpon completion of this training\, participants will be able to: \n\nExplain the importance of tuberculosis prevention and its contribution to overall goals of TB elimination\nDescribe easy-to-use tools and other resources to engage and encourage patients during LTBI treatment to improve care cascade outcomes\nIdentify how to measure the steps in the LTBI care cascade to advocate and reduce preventable losses in the cascade to improve program performance\nIdentify strategies to overcome barriers to each step in the LTBI care cascade to successfully implement and improve patient diagnosis and treatment\n\n\nIntended Participants: Health centers\, Primary Care Associations (PCAs)\, Health Center Controlled Networks (HCCN)\, and community organizations interested and/or invested in LBTI/TB prevention and management with a goal of improving LTBI care and outcomes for their patient population (s). Additional participants may include\, but are not limited to: health care providers\, primary care clinic directors\, health system leaders\, electronic medical record analysts\, and/or public health department leaders providing guidance for primary care settings. An honorarium will be made available for participants from qualifiying community health centers and speakers participating. \nCME/CEUs:  \nThe Curry International Tuberculosis Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. This training is approved for up to 9.00 continuing education hours. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Curry International Tuberculosis Center and the Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organizations (AAPCHO). The Curry International Tuberculosis Center designates this educational activity for up to 9.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.   \nThe Curry International Tuberculosis Center is approved as a provider of continuing education by the California State Board of Registered Nurses\, Provider Number CEP 12308. This training is approved for up to 9.00 continuing education hours. Board requirements prevent us from offering CE credit to people who arrive more than 15 minutes after the start of the training\, or leave the training early. Therefore\, partial credit will not be awarded.  \nFee: No cost/free \nCommitment: Accepted Learning Collaborative applicants are asked to attend a total of four learning sessions in April 2023 as well as complete an evaluation and follow-up evaluation.
